Science Club 2012-2013

Science Club is planned for the spring again this year, but with a slightly different format from years past.  It will now consist of evening sessions.  The first session will be held on Wednesday, March 13 for grades K-2 from 6-7:30pm in the cafeteria and gym.  The second session will be held on Wedenesday, March 20 for grades 3 and 4 from 6-8pm, also in the cafeteria and gym.  This program offers hands-on, age appropriate activities that explore with the participants science in our daily lives.  Each evening session will consist of four lessons that the children will rotate through in groups of 10 or less children.  We have chosen among the most popular lessons/experiments in the past to provide a fun-filled learning experience for your children.  Note that some of the experiments chosen may have already been covered with your children in the past.

There is no paid staff.  Parental involvement is what makes this program possible. Science Club is an all volunteer HSA group.  Volunteers are needed to help teach the lessons, move children from station to station and sign children in/out to their parents. Registration forms will be coming home with your children in the near future and please note that registration will be capped at 40 students per session, so please turn in your forms early!

If you have any questions or would like to help to support this program in any way, please contact: ScienceClub@ERhsa.org or Pam Magee at 682-3948.
